Mozilla Firefox 5

Mozilla yesterday uploaded the
final version of
Firefox 5 to their FTP servers.
However, there is no sign of this new release in
the Firefox website.
According to recent announcements, Mozilla will
be officially releasing the final version of
Firefox 5 on June 21, 2011.
If you want to try the final version now, you
can do so by downloading the installers from
the Mozilla FTP servers. New Features in Firefox 5:
• Added support for CSS animations • The Do- Not-Track header preference has been moved
to increase discoverability;
• Improved canvas (part of HTML 5 allows for dynamic, scriptable rendering of 2D shapes
and
bitmap images), , memory, and networking
performance;
• Improved standards support for HTML5, XHR, MathML, SMIL;
• Improved spell checking for some locales; • WebGL content can no longer load cross-
domain textures
• Background tabs have setTimeout and setInterval clamped to 1000ms to improve
performance
• The Firefox development channel switcher introduced in previous Firefox Beta updates
has
been removed
